Haven’t picked up Why Buddhism is True for a couple weeks now, and I wasn’t reading all that quickly or diligently before, so I’m going to put it aside and start reading … I don’t know. Something else. I’ll be back to this at some point, though.
Joined the dude and a couple of his friends for a game of EDH. Managed to eke out a victory with Sevinne over the dude’s brutal cats deck and my sea monsters deck one of his friends was running.
Rearranged the living room, cleaning and vacuuming and culling as we went. Exhausted.
Decided not to waste another year, and relaunched the site. (No, the reference doesn’t really make sense.)

Dithering and fiddling with the last bits and pieces of reimplementing https://pile.org/ in Hugo. Will switch over before iOS 13 ships with dark mode.
Magic today with Greg and Greg’s friend Steve and the dude. My Shirei deck worked perfectly; Sevinne never really got going.

Tonight’s kitchen victory: beef braised in Barolo; Mom came over.
Played Wingspan at Tessa and Breck’s with Meghan and acquaintances.
Serious thunderstorm last night: One lightning was basically right above our house.
First day of school for the kids. Had lunch with Meghan at the Fat Hen, and dessert at Honoré.
Mom saw some early-morning stars.
In honor of the victory of the proletariat over the capitalist class, and thinking of the mild chaos we saw when we were out for sushi (caused in part by a cook abruptly quitting), today’s discussion was about customs of giving notice, at-will employment, and related asymmetries.
