Walked down to Wallingford: 16k steps, 8 miles, 2½ hours, plus a 30-minute coda back to the U District. Glorious day for it: clear, cold, and dry.
Yesterday, walked down the Interurban to Greenwood, then old Ballard, then along the Burke-Gilman to visit Mom, then to the U District and home: about 28k steps, 14 miles, with assorted stops such that I don’t have a good estimate of time spent walking. Good to be back out stomping around.
On a light rail adventure today with the bambina, exploring the neighborhoods around several stations.
Ended up in Columbia City: Spam sliders at Marination, espresso at Empire.
Walked from the water taxi (passenger ferry) dock over West Seattle and down to the edge of Lincoln Park, then around along the shore back to the dock: 21k steps, 11 miles, something more than three hours. Adding up other walking getting there and back and in the neighborhood totaled 29k steps and 15¼ miles. Still not in great walking shape, but not bad.
