Walked up the Burke-Gilman Trail from Husky Stadium, then home: more than 20,000 steps, ten miles.
We’re surviving this Fimbulwinter fairly well so far. I walked to the grocery store yesterday to stock up on supplies; Meghan shoveled the driveway; our new heat pump is a little slower than the furnace to warm the house when it first turns on, but it gets there.
Took the bus and light rail to Capitol Hill, then walked back home, following the route of the rail tunnel as best I conveniently could: four hours, 11 miles.
Walked up the Interurban to Hall Lake, then over to Mountlake Terrace and down Lyon Creek: about eight miles.
My day off: walked to Northgate, caught light rail to Capitol Hill (12 minutes station to station), walked Pike and Pine, got espresso and lunch and a haircut, walked Broadway, got a decaf espresso, caught light rail back to Northgate, walked home: almost ten miles.
