Made bread yesterday, but preheated the baking stones too much, so that the bottoms of the loaves were burnt. Fortunately, the upper five-sixths of the loaves are great.

Made chicken pot pie for a Thanksgiving main course for us and Mom. We’re exchanging side dishes with her and Greg and Jocelyn early this afternoon for our separate meals.

(Seems like just last year that I wished for no huge turkey dinner on that old monkey paw!)
