While the bambina was at a birthday party and the dude was at a D&D game, Meghan and I went up the street to the pub for beer, cider, sopes, and tres leches cake.

Rewatched Les Triplettes de Belleville with Meghan last night. Such a weird (almost grotesque, in an older definition), fun movie.

Yesterday’s kitchen victories: beef stroganoff and butterscotch pudding.

Watched The Godfather Part II again. (Both of these spanned two days, by the way, because I didn’t want to inflict them on the kids just yet.)

Meghan is off to Vegas for an extended weekend trip to visit a friend.

Slowly making my way through The Art of Eating Cookbook by Edward Behr, a Christmas present from Meghan that we’ll be enjoying for years.

Maybe an inch or so overnight, 3″ total accumulation? Our street is icy, and the kids are (correctly) out of school again. (It seems like Shoreline’s road crew is on an extended vacation.)

The snow showers will continue until morale improves.
