Made chicken pot pie for a Thanksgiving main course for us and Mom. We’re exchanging side dishes with her and Greg and Jocelyn early this afternoon for our separate meals.

(Seems like just last year that I wished for no huge turkey dinner on that old monkey paw!)

The cat has been having heart trouble, and just came back from a two-day trip to the vet. She’s doing better, but she’s 18 years old.

Election night felt like 2016 all over again.

Took the kids to get our flu shots yesterday.

In better news, our ballots been counted.

Scorched my knuckle something fierce tonight.

Mom drove up, and we all walked up to the local ballot drop box and deposited our ballots.

Today’s kitchen victory: successfully made three bâtard loaves. Gave one to Mom.

Ballots arrived today.

Turned the furnace on for the first time this season.
