Slowly making my way through The Art of Eating Cookbook by Edward Behr, a Christmas present from Meghan that we’ll be enjoying for years.

Maybe an inch or so overnight, 3″ total accumulation? Our street is icy, and the kids are (correctly) out of school again. (It seems like Shoreline’s road crew is on an extended vacation.)

The snow showers will continue until morale improves.

Snow showers through the day. Roads and sidewalks are clear at home, but still snow on lawns, in flowerbeds, on trees, &c.

Maybe 2″ of snow overnight. The city doesn’t seem to have treated the roads, though, and school is closed for the day. Busses seem to be running more or less on schedule.

This afternoon’s kitchen victory: really quite good chocolate chip cookies. (Brown the butter first, and use dark brown sugar.)

A light dusting of hail and/or snow (or maybe graupel) around 2–3pm, and that’s been all so far.
