Home internet went out this afternoon (maybe the ONT died?). The ISP won’t be able to send somebody out until Wednesday.

Rebooting the smart power strip (unplugging it and plugging it back in) allowed it to rejoin the home automation system.

We’re surviving this Fimbulwinter fairly well so far. I walked to the grocery store yesterday to stock up on supplies; Meghan shoveled the driveway; our new heat pump is a little slower than the furnace to warm the house when it first turns on, but it gets there.

Turned on the new heat pump for the season sometime last week, maybe September 29 or so.

The carport gutter got clogged, so it pulled away from the carport, so Greg helped Meghan and me jury-rig a fix. Then I cleared the clog, and the rush of water from the downspout overwhelmed the rain barrel and spilled onto my legs and feet.
