Spring cleaning today, plus a walk to the grocery store for a loaf of bread.
We’re surviving this Fimbulwinter fairly well so far. I walked to the grocery store yesterday to stock up on supplies; Meghan shoveled the driveway; our new heat pump is a little slower than the furnace to warm the house when it first turns on, but it gets there.
Turned on the new heat pump for the season sometime last week, maybe September 29 or so.
The carport gutter got clogged, so it pulled away from the carport, so Greg helped Meghan and me jury-rig a fix. Then I cleared the clog, and the rush of water from the downspout overwhelmed the rain barrel and spilled onto my legs and feet.
Our new heat pump installation was finished today, replacing the old gas furnace that the repair person wouldn’t even look at when he came out about 20 months ago. It’s so much more quiet.
